The Government of Jersey (GoJ), new to Enterprise Architecture, sought to model their Enterprise Architecture but needed expert guidance to get started. To build their self-sufficiency, GoJ approached Dunstan Thomas Consulting (DTC) for consultancy. This session outlines the approach taken by DTC to assess GoJ’s unique requirements, leading to the creation of a tailored Meta Model (MDG) based on ArchiMate. Additionally, a Model-Based Add-in was developed for element name validation to ensure consistency and accuracy throughout the model.
In this session, Phil Chudley, a highly experienced Enterprise Architect, trainer, and consultant, brings his extensive knowledge to guide you through the case study, sharing practical insights and strategies for getting the most out of EA tools, with a focus on developing self-sufficient modeling practices.
In this session, you will learn:
- How Dunstan Thomas Consulting assisted the Government of Jersey in kickstarting EA practice using a customized MDG and a Model Based Add-in with model demonstrations.
- The advantages and limitations of both the MDG and the Model Based Add-in.
